AECP’s Annual Gala

Join us for AECP’s Annual Gala on Saturday November 14, 2026 at 5:30 in the evening at the beautiful Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, California! This year will be extra special as we celebrate not only AECP’s decades of sight-saving work in Armenia, but also the man who started it all: AECP Founder and President Dr. Roger Ohanesian! On this extra-special evening, Dr. Ohanesian will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of work and dedication to AECP, an organization he has founded and led to excellence all these years.

The evening will begin with a fun cocktail reception as guests enjoy each other’s company. As they greet old friends and new, guests will have an opportunity to bid on items in our silent auction ranging from great travel destinations to dining certificates to award-winning wine and more.

As Ballroom doors open, guests will enjoy flowing wine and a delicious three-course dinner as live Armenian music by the talented Hosharian Brothers Band fills the space. Throughout the evening, guests will have a chance to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of AECP Founder Dr. Roger Ohanesian; receive updates on what AECP has been able to achieve in Armenia through their support; and participate in an enticing Live Auction with opportunities to win amazing, big-ticket items that will also continue to help support AECP.

All proceeds from our event will benefit AECP’s several sight-saving programs in Armenia, including our Regional Eye Centers, Diagnostic Eye Clinics, Mobile Eye Hospital, Center of Excellence for the Prevention of Childhood Blindness, groundbreaking Diabetes Program and more.
